If you've ever enjoyed your car as
something besides an appliance, then you
owe this man a debt of gratitude. Wally
Parks was there when hot rods were a new
idea, and basically shepherded the
development of an entire car culture as we
know it today. Sadly, this pioneer died
last week at the age of 94.
