I found an interesting bit of information on the web today. Apparently local area mega dealership Bill Heard Chevrolet is being sold. There is no indication what impact this will have on the annual Bill Heard Chevrolet car show which is rapidly approaching on September 27th 2008. Presumably, this year's show is still a go. I hope it will continue to be so, since this has always been a well produced show with a sizable variety of cars, trucks, and motorcycles on hand, and it benefits a worthy cause. They even managed to move the event away from the dog days of summer to the earliest part of autumn for some slight relief from the customarilly oppressive Memphis heat in recent years.


So, make plans to support this event in September. The location of the show is actually at Central Church on Winchester Rd. which cured the problem of moving an entire inventory of new Chevrolets back and forth from the dealership lot to accomodate the one day show. Previous members of the Late Great Chevys may remember trying to put them all back in place a few years back... not fun.


There is a class for almost anything on wheels at this show, so everyone can find a way to join in and participate.
